WILMINGTON CAMPUS
In May 2000, the newest addition to Southern State Community College was added in Wilmington. A state-of-the art, 33,320 square foot facility was erected after the College had spent many years in a retired air force base. This project was completed by PDT Architects's parent company SFA Architects.
The satellite campus includes design to accommodate four major program areas: general education, business and industry, tech-prep curriculum, as well as serving as the hub for distance learning. Project involved designs for classrooms, a large library/resource center, computer centers, administrative and faculty offices and support areas.
