PATTERSON RESIDENCE
Silhouetted between the canopies of trees, the Patterson House was designed as the playful intersection of a sheltering curve and two ascending peaks. Clad in natural wood siding and iron spot brick, the contrasting forms are accentuated with whimsical stainless steel chimneys and canopies. An integrated balcony overlooks the pool and provides views into the surrounding tree canopy. Proceeding through the entry portal, the interlocking forms merge to create a series of high spaces for the living room, kitchen, and low sheltering spaces holding the bedrooms. A gracious open staircase leads to the lower game room and out into the backyard. |
