MOELLER HIGH SCHOOL
Originally opened in 1960, the renovations and additions to Moeller High School were important to the school's ability to continue to educate its students in a competitive manner. A dominant obstacle of the project was a limited budget, which made it necessary to complete the plan in a phased approach. However, the phased construction of the scheme did provide the benefit of allowing additional donors to become involved in the project as progress was being made. In addition, the design had to resolve the issue of integrating the new additions with a dated main building. This was accomplished using a bookend concept: the additions were built flanking the original main building and in such a manner that a visual cohesiveness was maintained. Highlights of the project include: -Science Wing with Media Center -Gymnasium with expanded locker rooms -Wrestling facility with weight-training area -Renovation of Marianist Residential wing -Renovation of Administrative Offices in the main building . |
