SFA provided services for the Mariemont City School District for a renovation and addition to the Mariemont High School. The district selected SFA because of its capacity to think out of the box which was needed in order to properly transform the building.
The facility was previously an open school, with few walls and poor acoustics. The newly renovated school included classrooms with walls and windows, complete handicap accessibility, and a new science complex. Additional renovations consisted of the construction of technology labs, an updated library and newly remodeled restrooms. In addition, all health, safety and security concerns were addressed and greatly improved within the building.
An addition is highlighted by a modern art lab, health classroom, a gymnasium, a community and school weight/conditioning facility as well as other much-needed enhancements to serve the needs of the ever-expanding number of students involved in extracurricular activities.
The project at the high school campus was constructed in three phases in order to accommodate the educational program. Work was scheduled during the summer months or isolated in a manner not to interrupt school activities.
