MACMILLAN HALL MIAMI UNIVERITY The comprehensive modernization of MacMillan Hall involved adaptive re-use of a 1918 Georgian style building. This 33,000 sq. ft. renovation of the university's health center to a facility housing lecture, conference, instructional, and office components, for the new Center for American and World Culture, involved a complete reconfiguration of all interior and exterior architectural systems as well as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and data/ communications systems. The new center blends fluently with the cohesive Georgian design language of the campus, although it is a mid-twentieth century building. SFA Architects renovated this building, also participated in the selection of commissioned art work through the State of Ohio Percent for Art program and provided assistance in the art work's installation. |
