KEYSTONE HIGH SCHOOL
SFA Architects, as part of a collaborative team, worked with the Keystone Local School District for a new, state-of-the-art 105,000 square foot high school that opened in the fall of 2006. Comprehensive site analysis, and district wide schematic design was followed by a detailed client interview and community engagement process. With the information provided, a detailed program was developed. For a projected enrollment of 560 students, a facility was designed with 21 classrooms, dedicated art and music facilities, cad labs, library, business, distance learning, technology education, cafetorium, and an athletic complex, consisting of: competition soccer fields, football fields, baseball fields, softball fields, multi-purpose practice fields, with support facilities including: concession, ticketing, storage, and locker rooms. All spaces conform to OSFC standards. Planning for future expansion needs was also part of the design.
