ST. ELIZABETH MEDICAL CENTER
Renovating an existing hospital area to integrate breast health services, creative designs and low maintenance materials were utilized to convey state-of-the-art technology in a comfortable environment. All aspects of the center were designed to increase privacy for the patient and to reduce anxiety. Circular forms created in floor treatments, curved walls, and ceiling materials create nodes throughout the space to assist patients in way-finding. These circular nodes also distinguish patient areas from staff rooms while creating visual appeal to patients. Colors were selected based on current color marketing forecasts to create a soft, inviting and non-threatening environment.
