CASA DEL LAGO
This three story house with the entrance on the third floor, the social living spaces on the second floor, and private bedrooms on the first floor, is isolated from the noisy street by a solid triangular masonry wall. This wall is penetrated by a barely visible entrance accessed via a bridge, providing a sudden, expansive view of the lake. An exterior staircase provides access from the social living spaces to grade level, thus complementing the axial vertical movement. Colors play an important relationship to the function of the different interior spaces as reflected in the polychromatic exterior volumes. |
