A major obstacle of the project was the question of how to project a dynamic, contemporary identity, achieved on a modest budget. Openness and transparency in offices and meeting spaces facilitates communication and team interaction. Dramatic lobby lighting highlights awards received for excellence in publishing, while creating interest, and a feeling of welcoming. Offices and conference rooms located along the building perimeter on street level allows for the public to see the newspaper staff in action.
