Conceived as a series of ramps, plazas and stairs that respond to the rise and fall of the river, the design responds to need for the orderly movement to and from water taxis, tour boats and the large vessels of the Delta Queen Lines. A round plaza and performance structure forms the end of the Beale Street Entertainment District and allows for an overlook of the arriving boats.
